Ouch! That Hurts!!!!

Ouch! That Hurts!!!!

One of the enemy’s biggest weapons is distraction, to distract us from The Big Picture of God’s plan for humanity and our individual lives. Between our feelings, the world, and other people, he knows it is fairly easy to get us focused on the wrong things. In this context, relationships are and will always be our biggest test. How do we truly love and get along with others in our lives; those people who rub us the wrong way? It’s easy to confess love, but harder to carry it out. We can easily carry out our selfish distorted definition of love, but God’s love is on a level that can only be carried out by the power of the Holy Spirit. We truly need God to love each other as He has called us to love, His way, not ours.

Therefore, we must remember The Big Picture. That it is not about us, but about Christ and The Father getting the glory. If we profess to KNOW Christ, then it is our mission to be the light for others, leading the way, that they may know Him.  This should be the most important goal in our life, if we are truly following Christ.  We should not be pursuing our own way and getting entangled in insignificant quarrels and disagreements with others.  We are to be good soldiers for Christ, keeping our focus on the mission.
2 Timothy 2:1-4
English Standard Version (ESV)
A Good Soldier of Christ Jesus

2 You then, (A)my child, (B)be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2 and (C)what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses (D)entrust to faithful men[a] (E)who will be able to teach others also. 3 (F)Share in suffering as (G)a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier (H)gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.

We must be aware that we are in a war in the spiritual realm, not with each other.  Satan’s mission is the divide and conquer, to have us at war with one another, completely missing The divine will of The Father and all Christ died for us to possess and carry out, that we may walk in victory over the flesh.
Ephesians 6:10-13
New King James Version (NKJV)
The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Remember it takes faith to Love people, for we shall all disappoint and be disappointed by one another. Trust God and walk in love and patience, being kind and truthful with others. When people are deceitful or dishonest, trust God to deal with them in His time, not ours.  He knows the heart and we do not.  Remember, hurting people really do hurt people.  It is cliche, but true.  Many times people really do believe they are walking in truth even if it’s a lie, it’s called denial and deception.  Have faith that God will reveal whatever needs to be revealed.

Hebrews 11:6
New King James Version (NKJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Now I’m not denying that there are truly evil people in the world, but that is the subject of another blog and The word gives us plain instruction on how to deal with them.  Here today, we are talking about those we are in relationship with.  Someone has to decide to do the right thing no matter what…  Trust God. Let go of pride and decide to pray and love.

James 4:1-2 (NKJV)

Pride Promotes Strife

Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war.

We must keep our hearts and minds on The Big Picture!  Walk in love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness that you may carry out the work of the cross…  Is an offense worth missing God?

Matthew 28:16-20

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Great Commission

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore[a] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.[b]
