Who are you….. really?

6a00e554e887238833016766def001970bIf you ask, many Americans will say they are a Christian. You can meet two people, one living a carnal worldly life; the other a hyper religious life and both will profess to be a Christian. How is this possible? One has to begin to wonder, what is a Christian, really? Is the term “Christian” passe’? After all according to, at least American culture, one can be a Christian no matter what they believe. It is acceptable to pick which parts of the bible you agree with and leave the rest. You can even add to the bible your own beliefs and no one can judge you. After-all, it’s your spiritual journey and who is anyone to tell you what is right, right?

Sadly, this is where years of compromise has led us. The bible is at the mercy of man’s interpretation and therefore can mean whatever any individual decides or wants it to mean. Is this Christianity? Is this acceptable to God? Well it’s time we go to the bible and see what The Word of God says about this definition or is the bible the authority any longer? I’m happy to say it truly is to God and His true disciples. As a matter of fact I no longer feel great about saying I’m a Christian, lately I say I’m a disciple of Jesus Christ because there a so many people saying they are without taking it seriously.

There is still a remnant of true believers in The Kingdom of God who believe in The Word of God, Holiness and obedience to Him. I pray that all of us who call ourselves Christians, believers, and/or disciples of Christ would go back to scripture. I pray that we would earnestly pray, fast and study; not just poach out a few scriptures that we can twist to confirm what we already want to believe. I pray that we would examine ourselves (lifestyles and choices) against scripture, inviting the Holy Spirit to show us the world and its ugliness and how we are to relate to this world as disciples of Christ. We can’t have our cake and eat it too. We cannot justify being in love with the world and all it’s indulgences and profess The Kingdom of God. The two do not mix. The question is are you a disciple of Culture or a disciple of Christ, you must choose… Let us all look in the mirror and let the examination begin!! Only use the bible as your standard, not some book a guy wrote or a message from the latest popular televangelist. It’s time to get real about your faith. Let’s start with your conversion story, how and when did you come to Christ?

“I Don’t Know!”😩😩😩😩😖

More often than not as human beings we pride ourselves on all of our knowledge. Now don’t get me wrong, knowledge is very powerful. We know the Bible teaches, “my people perish for lack of knowledge.” Although, when our heaping up of knowledge stands in the way of God truly speaking to us and changing us, knowledge becomes our bondage and our own intellect our enemy.

Although, in our knowing, we must be led by The Holy Spirit. For He knows ALL things. Our ” knowing” cannot compare to God’s Knowing. He gives us the understanding of what we are to know and the wisdom to apply it. Therefore, never be hesitant to say, “I just do not know.” This is a sign of humility and God can then work mightily in our lives. For when we always want to seem as though we know, we tie God’s hand from directing us to authentic truth of His Word and wisdom. Humility shows Him respect and He can come in and help us to see what was unseen even with all our knowledge.

Come on, let us be more hasty in admitting we don’t know than assuring we know. God gives grace to the humble, but resist the proud. Many times “I don’t know” are the most powerful words ever spoken in a circumstance because The Almighty rushes to your rescue.💕

Get Moving & Be Better!!♥

You do not need Christ to be successful.

When I read some of the writings by heretics, secular motivational speakers, philosophers, gurus, etc… I see that many of them are using bible scripture to strengthen their teachings. This is alarming. Why, you say? Well, God’s Word IS true. He also, created a biblical principle that rains on the just and the unjust alike; which is seedtime and harvest. What about this scripture, “Give and it shall be given unto you, etc…” The bible teaches that “whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap.” Ironically, what has happened is the world has caught on that biblical principles are great teachings and they work when applied in a person’s life. Being a Christ follower is not a prerequisite. Therefore, they practice these principles, aside from The true God who created them, and seem to have great success. Some of these teachers even act like they made up these principles. It’s indicative of human nature, to not want Jesus telling us what to do with our lives, we just want His blessings. The sad part is they reap these harvests because God is a just God and true to His word, but they end up with a false sense of success and blessing. Also, trust me, satan is on the scene helping them to take credit for all “their” wisdom and success. Therefore, I beg to differ with those who say, “you cannot have a successful life without God…” I dare to say, oh yes you can! According to The world’s definition of success, many people now and in times past, have lived their whole lives enjoying a decent life without God. They are educated, they have a great career, financial freedom, a great family, they are able to travel and are privileged with many other enjoyments. Oh sure, they have struggled with a few life tragedies, no different from the rest of us, but they get by and carry on. They are even impressive on how much they love and care about others and give of their time and money to help humanitarian efforts in their communities or around the world. They are a “good person” in the eyes of many, but there is just one problem. They have rejected Jesus Christ and have decided not to follow Him and this one greatest variable makes everything else worthless. They will be hailed at their funeral as a great person and end up in the lake of fire. The prideful and arrogant heart cannot accept the truth that we were created to worship God The Father, through His Son Jesus Christ. Yes, you were made for God. He created you for Himself. Any success without Him will leave you ultimately sorrowful. If you don’t believe me, ask the rich young ruler in the bible.

Matthew 19:16-22 (NKJV)

Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler

16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”

17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”

Jesus said,

You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

20

The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”

21

Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

22

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

How about you? How do you define a successful life, a great life? What is more important to you, how the world views you or how God does? Satan and the world’s system has made it trendy to kick Jesus out, but keep His stuff!!! Do not fall in that camp. I encourage you to not let the world define your life and success and please never try to have success without God. Words can’t describe a life filled with His guidance and presence. I would not trade Him for all the success or money this world has to offer.♥

If you want the world to be a friendlier place, be more friendly. Challenge: Wherever you are, if you happen to make eye contact with someone or are in an elevator with other humans… Greet them, say hi!!! It’s that simple. Don’t be shy, you may make someone’s day with just a polite greeting and a smile☺

It’s time… Ask

oie_V2loLDfWBaU7What are you doing about your dreams and goals? Do you have passions that are deep in your heart and mind that just won’t go away and you feel they are never going to materialize? Are you a jack of all trades, but master of none? Well that is just not true, we are all seamlessly gifted at something we have mastered effortlessly. Sometimes we are so used to performing in that area we do not see it as a gift or talent. I’m just here to remind you today that your life is but a vapor. The years creep by undetected it seems. Many of us have these dreams, passions, gifts, and talents tucked away inside because we just do not know where to begin to redirect our lives to the path of doing what we love. The unexpected circumstances of life steers us in a direction we did not plan many times and we just can’t seem to get back on track or even find the track! I’m sure not going to tell you it is easy to “make it happen”, but it sure is possible. Although, I believe it takes us to reach our limit of dissatisfaction with our current path. We need to reach the point where continuing “business as usual” is no longer an option and we are ready to do whatever it takes to turn the ship around.

It’s like walking into a room so cluttered and messy, you get overwhelmed and do not know where to even begin to unclutter the mess. Well, have you ever thought about getting some assistance, a coach perhaps? Sometimes we need someone to coach us through what to do and where to begin. Two hands and heads are always better than one when it comes to tackling a big project or untangling a huge mess. It takes courage and humility to ask for help and many times it is that simple. You have not because you ask not. Do not wait any longer to reorganize your life and pursue the calling God has placed inside of you. It’s time to ask for help and meet the new you and a new life.♥
