You do not need Christ to be successful.

When I read some of the writings by heretics, secular motivational speakers, philosophers, gurus, etc… I see that many of them are using bible scripture to strengthen their teachings. This is alarming. Why, you say? Well, God’s Word IS true. He also, created a biblical principle that rains on the just and the unjust alike; which is seedtime and harvest. What about this scripture, “Give and it shall be given unto you, etc…” The bible teaches that “whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap.” Ironically, what has happened is the world has caught on that biblical principles are great teachings and they work when applied in a person’s life. Being a Christ follower is not a prerequisite. Therefore, they practice these principles, aside from The true God who created them, and seem to have great success. Some of these teachers even act like they made up these principles. It’s indicative of human nature, to not want Jesus telling us what to do with our lives, we just want His blessings. The sad part is they reap these harvests because God is a just God and true to His word, but they end up with a false sense of success and blessing. Also, trust me, satan is on the scene helping them to take credit for all “their” wisdom and success. Therefore, I beg to differ with those who say, “you cannot have a successful life without God…” I dare to say, oh yes you can! According to The world’s definition of success, many people now and in times past, have lived their whole lives enjoying a decent life without God. They are educated, they have a great career, financial freedom, a great family, they are able to travel and are privileged with many other enjoyments. Oh sure, they have struggled with a few life tragedies, no different from the rest of us, but they get by and carry on. They are even impressive on how much they love and care about others and give of their time and money to help humanitarian efforts in their communities or around the world. They are a “good person” in the eyes of many, but there is just one problem. They have rejected Jesus Christ and have decided not to follow Him and this one greatest variable makes everything else worthless. They will be hailed at their funeral as a great person and end up in the lake of fire. The prideful and arrogant heart cannot accept the truth that we were created to worship God The Father, through His Son Jesus Christ. Yes, you were made for God. He created you for Himself. Any success without Him will leave you ultimately sorrowful. If you don’t believe me, ask the rich young ruler in the bible.

Matthew 19:16-22 (NKJV)

Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler

16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”

17 So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”

Jesus said,

You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

20

The young man said to Him, “All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”

21

Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

22

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

How about you? How do you define a successful life, a great life? What is more important to you, how the world views you or how God does? Satan and the world’s system has made it trendy to kick Jesus out, but keep His stuff!!! Do not fall in that camp. I encourage you to not let the world define your life and success and please never try to have success without God. Words can’t describe a life filled with His guidance and presence. I would not trade Him for all the success or money this world has to offer.♥
