Lies are fun and exciting. We love lies!

Everyone knows, lies are fun. Oh sure we all say we want truth, but deep down we would rather have a lie. Lies bring fantasy, mystery, and no responsibility into our dull, mundane lives; at least for a season. We will even curse someone out and go off when they try to disturb our lie with the truth. Yes, our lips will say without hesitation, “just be honest with me.” Although, the moment someone is honest we get angry and want to see them suffer or die…lol  A husband can’t tell his wife, “honey I haven’t been physically attracted to you because you’ve gained 60lbs since we were married and your chin has whiskers now. Can we work on you losing a little weight and getting your chin waxed?” He is forced to live in the lie, to keep things falsely peaceful.

That is what lies bring, a false sense of peace on the surface, while there is an undercurrent of chaos brewing. As you can imagine, lies are very deceitful, the longer the lie is repeated, it starts to become our truth. That brings us to something extremely dangerous, a lie wrapped in truth. This is the epitome of self deception. A world people live in everyday. The lie is so latent with sprinkles of truth, you can’t even tell it’s a lie anymore. When a lie and truth begins to look similar it’s called deception. You are no longer trying to decipher truth from  lies, but trying to decipher what is true and almost true. This is a dangerous tricky phenomenon. It is happening everyday in our churches. The average christian has no discernment between what is truth, lies, real or fake. It leaves the average professed believer in Christ to start mixing all kinds of opposing beliefs with their Christianity and thinking it’s perfectly ok.

What a sad case in God’s Kingdom. The moment we start trying to mix truth with lies, it is no longer truth and now we are living the lie. We are deceived into thinking our mixture of Christianity, New Age, Buddhism, The Occult, Mysticism, Islam, Divination, Catholicism, Gnosticism, Universalism, and many other oppositional theologies of the The Cross of Jesus Christ is acceptable to God Almighty. Well I’m here to proclaim to you in love for you as my sisters and brothers and through the power of The Holy Spirit, it is NOT acceptable and never will be. You cannot have your cake and eat it too. Either you are a follower of Christ, His disciple or you are not. If you have chosen to follow Christ, you must renew your mind with His precious word and denounce all these other satanic belief systems that draw you away from the pure unadulterated truth of God’s word and The Living Word, Jesus Himself.  You can use the word “God”, but you are not following the biblical God. You have created for yourself another God, another Jesus.

Also, I need to tell you, it is nothing more than our pride that leads us to all these false belief systems. We like to think we are humble, but we are not. Rather than submit to The One True God of the bible, His Son Jesus Christ and the written word, we would rather subconsciously choose our own God and make up our own religion; that way, we are still in control and can pat ourselves on the back. In conclusion, I pray this day that you will begin to think about what you actually believe and if it is not completely and fully Jesus Christ of the bible and Him crucified, repentance from your sin, choosing to follow Christ that you may have everlasting life, believing you have a real enemy (satan) trying to keep you from the truth of Christ, etc… If this is not what you believe when you call yourself a Christian, then please stop calling yourself a Christian, you are nothing more than a spiritualist. You want to tap into the spirit realm without submitting to Christ. God gives us free will as human beings, you are free to worship whomever you want, but do not call yourself a Christian when you do not believe in what the bible teaches. Christian does not mean “good person”, it means to be a follower of Christ or to be Christ-like. Christ would never incorporate New Age, Universalist, Gnostic or any other false doctrine into His Father’s Kingdom because then He would be part of The Lie and Christ only comes in The Truth of His Word. It’s time to stop mixing the clean with the unclean (Leviticus 10:10) if you are a true follower of Christ. Either you believe in the truth of the whole bible or you don’t. Picking and choosing what you will tolerate from God’s word just leaves you with a lie. You will not see the full power of God in your life if you continue on this path of mixing.

17 Therefore go out from their midst,

and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch no unclean thing;
    then I will welcome you,
18 and I will be a father to you,
and you shall be sons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.”

Do not be deceived people. We are in a great time of deception and there is a mixture of biblical teaching and false doctrines being propagated. Don’t drink the kool-aid. I pray that The Holy Spirit will open your eyes and ears to the truth of God and His word and give you supernatural discernment, that you may walk in love and truth. It’s not enough to be “spiritual”, you’d better make sure you are in fellowship with The True Holy Spirit. Below I have gathered some scripture and reference materials for you to study on your own. Be blessed.♥

The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age -Matthew Chapter 24

Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.

1 Timothy 2:5New King James Version (NKJV)

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

1 John 4:1New King James Version (NKJV)

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Life must evolve beyond the self-centered microcosmic focus of the individual for it to be the least bit fulfilling. image

I don’t know and it’s okay…

Why do we assume because we are adults and have lived 3 decades or more, that we know what is best for ourselves in all circumstances? I can’t tell you how many people I’ve encountered over the years who could have avoided serious life tragedies such as job loss, divorce, parenting blunders, and many others, if they had only sought wise counsel. Just because we are adults does not mean we have all the answers or the best solutions. This post is to provoke us to think about what or who is deciding what is best for our lives or assisting us to make wise decisions in difficult circumstances. Are you the only authority or examiner for your life? Is it the culture you live in that subconsciously dictates what is best for you? Could it be the biased opinion of one or more family members? Do you believe in God and if so, what does your God believe? Just some questions to provoke you to think. Life is too short to move forward on assumption. All of us should be learning from someone who can be objective, knows more and has more experience with a proven track record. Even a mentor needs a mentor, it keeps us on our toes and creates accountability. #Humility breeds true greatness. It is a wise person who knows when guidance is needed. Proverbs 20:15 There is gold and abundance of costly stones, but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

What are you saying and where is it coming from?

Those of us who lead others, make sure the advice and guidance we give comes from The Word of God, through His Holy Spirit. We will do no one any good with our carnal wisdom. Abide in Him that His words may abide in you and you will lead with love, grace, understanding, and wisdom. You were not saved to only be concerned of yourself, but to lead others out of darkness. Have a blessed weekend and be a blessing to all who cross your path. #ServantLeadership #BeABlessing #Inspire #Encourage #JesusIsReal#TheTrueVine #HolySpirit
John 15 (NKJV)
The True Vine
15 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away;[a] and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will[b] ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Have you seen or witnessed how great I am lately?

Contrary to popular belief and the “low self esteem” psychology, I believe much of our misery as humans comes from our unrealistic view of ourselves. As a matter of fact, it is our constant focus on self that causes us so much grief. According to my studies of God’s word, it seems we just have too high of an opinion of ourselves out the gate, which leads to much disappointment and heartache. The pride of man is consistently looking to himself for answers instead of looking to God. We pride ourselves on our strengths and self sufficiency. We see ourselves through a pair of thick rose colored glasses that are seemingly unbreakable. The ironic thing is those glasses only work on us and maybe we see our children through them, but that’s a whole different blog…lol  It is all of our nature to think we are WAY more fabulous than we truly are. We are so deceived we convince ourselves that our sin is even fabulous. First, let’s look at what God’s word says about our condition.

Mark 7:20-23New King James Version (NKJV)

20 And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”

Now these are the words of Jesus himself. I think Jesus knows me better than I could ever know myself. Let’s go to the bible again…

Jeremiah 17:9New King James Version (NKJV)

“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?

If you still think you are all that and a bag of chips and a KitKat, but by the grace of God, here is another…

Matthew 15:15-20New King James Version (NKJV)

15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”

16 So Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.20 These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

Don’t you just love The Word of God, it just bears witness of itself! You may try to dispute truth when it shows up once, even twice if you are really stubborn, but 3 times? When Adam sinned in the garden (Genesis Chapter 3) he caused mankind separation from God and now you and I are born in sin, we have an inherent sin nature that houses our soul; also known as the flesh and it gets us in so much trouble. Although, the good news is Jesus came as a ransom for our sin, He paid it all (1 Peter 3:18), to save our souls from the penalty of sin and damnation. He died that we may live once again in unity with our heavenly Father as it was before the fall of man. Jesus paid it all and offers us restoration with The Creator of the universe, our Father in heaven!

Now that brings us back to what was said at the beginning of this blog entry. I’m not being mean, but you are not that great, I am not that great, we all need Christ to make us righteous, for in and of ourselves we are sinful creatures with an evil sinful nature. My definition of good and great cannot compare with God’s standard and we can never meet His standard of righteousness. We just can’t, the old testament proved that and that’s why Christ came. Therefore, do not think of yourself more highly than you should (Romans 12:3) and you won’t be so disappointed and discouraged. Look to Christ and know that you need Him in everything you do because His strength is made perfect in your weakness. No talent, good looks, intelligence of any kind can make you righteous. It’s like putting perfume on a pig, it’s still a pig. I will say as Paul the Apostle said, I boast in my weakness!!!! Praise God Christ is my greatness!! Without Him, I am not great or good and it’s perfectly okay…

2 Corinthians 12:9New King James Version (NKJV)

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Don’t hate me because I tell you the truth… I love YOU💕

Find Your Treasure!

What is it that makes you tick? What brings you joy in this life? Is your peace obtainable in all situations? These are some very important self examining questions toward a joyful and fulfilled life. It is only when we encounter the love of Christ through His word, that we can begin to truly know who we are and why we were created. Although, so often we are willing to learn everything of this world possible, in place of developing an intimate relationship with Christ. We buy the lie that as long as we go to church and do all kinds of “good things” that we know God and we are okay. We create a pattern, pursuing an emotional high of man inspired worship services every Sunday. We have the best preachers, teachers, singers and musicians to fill that void to get us through the next week. Meanwhile, Christ is waiting patiently on the sidelines for us to spend some quality time studying all the letters He took the time to inspire some of His greatest Apostles to write to us. They all were killed except one, to pass along the legacy of Christ that we might be saved from the wrath and justice of a Loving and Holy Father God. Are you on the chase for happiness? Are you in pursuit of everything this world has to offer? Well my friend if you are, your pursuit will lead to a dead end. God sent us His son the Living Word that we would receive salvation and follow the instructions given to us on how to live this life here on the earth. I challenge you to rededicate your commitment to study God’s word, your bible. This will increase your faith and knowledge of God and then you will find joy, peace, and fulfillment unimaginable. You will then be the bearer of hope in a dark world. When your treasure is Christ and His Kingdom, your life and the way you view life will change into something beyond anything you could ever imagine. “Wherever your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Matthew 6:21),” don’t make your treasure the things in this world. Make your treasure Christ The Lord and he will give you all that you need or want… I pray that you will pursue Him and He will give you rest and peace.
